Heath Merchen, owner of Merchen Law Offices, PLLC, was raised on the Merchen family farm and ranch that straddles the Nebraska/South Dakota border. He went to undergraduate school in Nebraska and graduated with honors from Seattle University School of Law.

He has been actively litigating in Washington State and Oklahoma since 1995 and currently practices in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, representing the Oklahoma Education Association as well as business clients in the Oklahoma City area.

He has represented cities, school districts, and other government subdivisions and has served as a Chief Technology Officer and Director at a national law firm, as a public sector Human Resources Director, as an IT analyst and database programmer, and he started his legal career as Prosecuting Attorney in Washington state. Other current and previous clients include franchise owners (Dairy Queen, Schlotzsky’s), SeaFirst Bank, Eco7, Trademark Roofing, First American Subordinate Loan Outsourcing, Delta Plumbing, Paradigm Software, and divisions of the Teamsters and the National Education Association.

In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his daughters (Kyra and Gabrielle), his son (Noah), and his wife Casey. He also works out regularly and currently holds a second-degree black belt in jiu-jitsu (www.okmartialarts.com).
